Alfa Disco Volante Comes To Geneva Ready To Party
Displayed initially as a styling buck in 2012, the 8C Competizione-based Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Touring will now be made available on a very limited basis (500 to be exact) to some very special customers.
Historically inspired by the Alfa C52 “Disco Volante” from 1952, it features the same Trident-sourced 450 horsepower 4.7-liter V8 and rolling chassis as the 8C underneath its emotive carbon fiber body. While the exterior design is mostly unique, the Disco does dip into the corporate parts bin for the Ferrari 599 headlamps. Given the cost of creating all-new units, we applaud the team’s ability to seamlessly integrate them into the front wings. Moving inside, the highly functional interior carries over virtually unchanged, but for a few exceptionally crafted details here and there.
If you have the means, this Disco is one party you shouldn’t miss.
